Interwoven: a resting place for collective grief

Interwoven: a resting place for collective grief was a collaborative show created by the Arbor Institute and Moonbeam Gardebring to create a community sanctuary during the immense grief of 2020— a creative offering for shared grief and healing through art and ritual. In the center of the gallery was a casket made of willow, handwoven over the course of three weeks, dedicated to our collective loss, uncertainty, and interconnected humanity. Origami and folded notes on grief were offered by community members during the month-long exhibit. On the surrounding walls were the series of my collages on the interweaving of life and death.
